11-year old Kai carries a suitcase back and forth between his divorced parents. He watches them struggle with their new partners in his two homes. His friend Olivia’s home seems a lot more stable, and there is definitely a romance blossoming between them, but Kai is repeatedly unable to respond to her when she asks him to be her lover.
